HERE IS A COLLECTION OF PICTURES WITH A BIT OF HUMOR BEHIND THEM.

One day John got this crazy idea to cover a Beetle in Christmas Lights. Since Niagara Falls has it's Festival of Lights in the Winter time, it was a great opportunity to have such a unique vehicle.

Approximately 1800 indoor / outdoor mini lights were used. First it was powered by 8 large truck batteries, hooked in series to one another. This gave us enough voltage to power the lights (96 volts DC was close enough to 120AC) for approximately 4 hours of running very brightly. The big problem with this was, we had batteries and wire every where, and  when batteries discharge at a fairly steady rate, they give off hydrogen gases. Not really the safest way to power the lights. We went for a 3500watt Honda, sealed and vented to the outside, behind the back seat. It was extremely noisy but worth it in fun.

At one of the first June Jitter Bugs, this car ended up through the front window of this store. The story was the driver thought the car was in reverse, very angry at something, he puts his foot to the floor to leave the parking spot, and ends up window shopping. No one was injured just embarrassed. Our show was right next door at a Drive In Restaurant.
